Ref.No.: 833

Imagine being the Senior HR Business partner responsible for HR administration and development in this vast geographical area: from Pakistan and India on your left to the Philippines on your far right, and from Thailand and Indochina all the way down under to Australia.

Our client's regional office is located in Bangkok, in a beautiful open-plan office with a view of the city's skyline. Here sits a small team of technical experts, commercial people, marketing specialists, administrators, and financial planners. They in turn work with small teams of colleagues in ten countries around the Asia Pacific region who work closely with major industry players and a network of distributors.

You report to the Director of Global HR Field Operations, located in the US, and have a dotted line to the Area General Manager in Thailand (expat).

Selected responsibilities:

Determine ways in which HR will engage and add value to the teams in the countries our client operates.

Manage benefit administration in the Asia Pacific region. Partner with the in-house subject matter experts in the USA to support the organisation on benefit, compensation and total reward related issues. And in turn, support HQ initiatives to ensure compensation is designed to attract, retain and motivate talent.

Work with functional managers to prepare budgets and forecasts regarding headcount planning and people costs.

Provide advice and counsel to managers on talent management initiatives and activities. This includes talent acquisition in all the countries but managed from your office in Bangkok.

Objectively assess and proactively provide advice and training to managers to resolve employee relation issues to mitigate operational disruptions and legal risk.

Work with managers to identify training and development needs and assist with development plans. Continue to provide training and refresher training on the client's Management System.

Ensure that leaders in the Asia Pacific region are well prepared for the talent review and succession planning processes.

Support other training initiatives across the organisation by working with managers to identify more routine skill/capability needs and determine the most effective manner in which to close those gaps.

Submit timely monthly reports with HR metrics and analyses, and other adhoc reports as requested.

Direct and oversee the payroll data collection and submission to the Shared Services unit.
