Director, Planning Master Data

Large MNC brand-name manufacturing near Bangkok

Ref.No.: 829

It's challenging to manage thousands or even millions of raw materials or products. Especially if the information about them is found in countless spreadsheets and in different systems or departments across the organisation, leaving everyone with duplicate, inaccurate and poor quality information.

This is where Planning Master Data (PMD) comes into the picture; it's the lifeblood for any manufacturing organisation that uses an ERP system. PMD is a comprehensive method of linking a company's critical planning data which then provides a common point of reference. When properly done, PMD streamlines identical data sharing among personnel and departments.

Adopting PMD means that the enterprise gets a single view of its Planning Master Data. This will lead to better inventory management, more efficient material planning and manufacturing operations, which all translate into reduced cost.

You must be an experienced expert in PMD of materials and production. You will not be responsible for the management of master data in the areas of say BOM, routing, costing or finance.

In order to publish or share consistent material information across the organisation, it's your job to make sure that the information is merged, centralised, accurate and up-to-date.

Having a central repository for all product-related information will give our client a single version of truth for their planning master data, delivering significant operational efficiencies and improving business performance.
